Camberwell After School Project (CASP) has been a cornerstone of the Southwark community for over 38 years, providing essential childcare services. Today, we are at risk of closing due to insufficient financial income to balance our expenditure. Your support is crucial in helping us continue to serve local families.
CASP is more than just a childcare provider. We offer work experience to young people and adults, helping them gain valuable employability skills for career development. CASP is also a proud employer, CASP maintains a dedicated team of 14 part-time local staff members who support both the organisation's childcare services and the local economy. CASP is proud to be part of the community we support. Our existence offers a platform where residents from diverse social groups can engage with each other and cooperate through shared activities, thereby building trust and a sense of belonging.
For over 38 years, CASP, a registered childcare charity, has been a vital part of Southwark's community- led social infrastructure. CASP provides essential childcare services to local parents and contributes to the area's economy and community life. CASP has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children and their families since its inception. However, we are now at risk of closing. The loss of this much-loved and essential service would be a significant blow to local families.
To keep our doors, open and maintain the affordable level of childcare we provide, we require urgent financial assistance. On the back of the COVID-19 pandemic and the current cost of living increase our operational costs have dramatically increased. Despite our efforts to secure funding, we face a significant shortfall of £100,000 for the next six months. This deficit threatens our ability to sustain operations and fulfil our commitment to parents and the local community we serve.

donate to our crowdfunder and win an art print
Our childcare charity is facing a daunting financial challenge. With a projected shortfall of over £100,000 in the next year, securing necessary funding has become increasingly difficult. The cost of living crisis means our costs keep rising, but we cannot raise our prices because the parents who use our services need us to remain affordable.
We are raising £50,000 by Crowdfunder, and working towards matching funds raised. Please Help Us Reach Our Target |
