After School (4-11 years)

Our after school services operate from Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm (extended hours to 6:30pm) are available at an extra charge. After school the children are collected by our Play Workers (who are easily identified by our CASP labelled high visible orange jackets) and safely escorted to our centre. The children also wear high-visibility jackets while walking in pairs.
Children who attend Comber Grove, St Joseph’s RC Primary and Infant Schools and John Ruskin Schools are brought to our centre.
Whilst at the centre children are provided with light refreshments and a variety of structured, recreational, educational and play activities.
Children learn in lots of different ways both in and out of school. Our after school services have a very relaxed feel from the bustling and busy holiday play scheme services. We fully appreciate that the children may be tired at the end of a long school day and simply want to 'chill out' during their time with us. However, for those who have an abundance of reserved energy our play workers will guide and encourage them to fun and creative activities they wish to take part in. The emphasis is very much on supervised free play giving children the chance to catch up with friends and make new ones.
Through our wide range and variety of stimulating and motivational activities, children will enhance their social, creative, intellectual, physical and emotional development, which will also prepare them with the relevant skills needed for their transition into secondary education and through to young adulthood.
